Passenger Safety
It is mandatory law that passengers are required to use safety belts
in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Drivers have the authority to insist that safety belts be worn and are trained to assist securing a passenger, if needed.
Should a passenger refuse to wear a safety belt, the Driver has the right to deny transportation service to the passenger. If there is a medical reason why a passenger cannot use a safety belt, there must be a signed letter fro m their physician indicating this exception. Passengers are required to keep buckled in their seats while the vehicle is in motion.
